History of Women of Global Change

Inception: 2005

Women of Global Change was founded in 2005 with a clear vision – to empower women leaders globally. From its inception, the organization placed a strong emphasis on collaboration, empowerment, and community engagement, laying the groundwork for its future impact.

Global Expansion: 2010s

Throughout the 2010s, Women of Global Change expanded its reach internationally, establishing chapters globally. This expansion reflected the organization’s commitment to creating cross-border impact and fostering collaboration among women leaders worldwide.

Inaugural Global Summit: 2015

In 2015, Women of Global Change hosted its inaugural Global Summit, a landmark event that brought together leaders and change-makers from around the world. The Summit served as a catalyst for collaborative initiatives aimed at addressing pressing global challenges.

White House Recognition: 2015-2020

From 2015 to 2020, Women of Global Change received prestigious recognition from the White House for Humanitarianism and Excellence. This recognition, received from three sitting Presidents, highlighted the organization’s outstanding contributions to society and women’s empowerment.

International Acknowledgment

Women of Global Change’s impact was acknowledged globally by government agencies, including recognition from the Magistrate of Spain and the Dominican Republic. These acknowledgments underscored the organization’s significant role in driving positive change on an international scale.

• 2016: Women of Influence Award Received the prestigious President’s Award for outstanding contributions to women’s empowerment.

  2018: Athena International Award Recognized for Organizational Leadership by the Athena International Awards.

In 2021, Women of Global Change was acknowledged at the National, State, and Local levels by the US State Assembly and Congressional Awards for its exceptional contributions to empowering women and fostering positive change.

In 2023, Women of Global Change was honored with the “Best of 2023” award in the Business Hall of Fame category, further recognizing its ongoing commitment to making a positive impact globally.
