Spoke will Shellie a few years back. Well you ask— so here goes.
We have become a nonprofit working with Haitian Farmers and High School students. We believe in hand-up solutions. The people are amazing and involved in a grassroot effort to restore their country. Our programs:
    1. Our pilot student green club is just on fire and have gained a hope for a future. — a future rooted in ecological restoration. http://www.tobuildavillage.org/agroconcert. Scroll to the bottom arrow to see our students in action.
    2. We have created a 72 set of electronic reader taking our students from ecology and biology, to agriculture and the regreening of Haiti. It is in both English and Creole. http://www.tobuildavillage.org/grassrootreaders
    3. We are in the process of filling our pool of skill-building team of farm teachers. We have 1200 farming groups ready to learn regenerative agriculture. The goal of our farmers is to restore Haiti’s ability to feed their families and their country. “We love to learn” is their motto and feel just the same as our students— that they will be the agents of change.

Haiti has its problems but she also is a clean slate ready to retake her place as a resilient and self-reliant country.
