An active participant in social impact for the change that wish to see in the world. To collaborate in educational platforms and humanitarian projects for ourselves, our communities, and the world.

. “ I desired and waited to be part of the real change so I reached out Shellie Hunt for my sustainable leadership plan in the Philippines, I told her about putting up Learning Center for Indigenous children and women in the community ,focused on the Climate Change Advocacy support a project of “Sponsor a Household on Energy” with a 1,000 target households to be lighted with solar energy as this is to serve and give them educational assistance and training programs . This initiative was fully supported by Women of Global Change that will take the lead of this sustainable initiative program together with Collaborators and Sponsors. For almost five (5) long years of waiting WGCF Philippines were kicked off to launch and operate ,at last!”.

2. How did you start with your career?

I started the business at the age of twenty-two (22) when I was still in the 4th year in the University taking up Bachelor of Science in Architecture. I was an active student government leader during the day and was a hotel receptionist during evening. Architecture is a very expensive course ,my monthly allowance from my late mother ( an OFW working as a Domestic helper ) wasn’t not enough to sustain my studies, I became a design freelancer and offered some of my few hours in big construction company working as junior designer ( without pay), just to learn new techniques and gain professional experience. It was fate; right after graduation when some private and government project investors recognized my potential, they offered me to project manage projects and became the youngest lady-general- contractor. I experienced lime light and power with recognition, but suddenly vanished. I experienced economic crisis and I did some lot of failures with my business operations, I thought that was my best but my best wasn’t good enough. It was a failure. I wasn’t fully equipped.
I came to Manila with three thousand (3,000) pesos in my pocket and eventually gambled my determination and faith. I used my skills with good intention. I worked for several corporate offices and gained potential business connections. I resigned and continue my business that I started. Again, I decided to take the route of business because “God called me to do things for His Glory, that He would answer all my prayers and lead me the way”.

I surpassed all difficult circumstances and I know there will be more. Being successful is just not about how much money we have earned and saved in the bank, it is how we define life, extending our territory- leaving a legacy. The joy within.

When I was feeling tired and discouraged, I just remember some memories of my childhood “A gas lamp lighted the entire Nipa Hut House (Kubo) where my family and I lived, we need to sleep early to save the kerosene for tomorrow”. There is no such word called “quitting” when your mind and heart are set.

3. What was your struggles when you were aspiring?

My struggle was when I was in the adjustment period of my career of being employed because I need to save money to put up again my business, to re start. I was in the process of cost cutting unnecessary things for myself. I used to live with three (3) bunk mates in a 12 sqm floor area with a common toilet down stairs, I need to fold my clothes and kept it behind my pillows because there were no closets. I do still remember the dark streets going home late. It was a real fight to succeed.

5. What is your mantra is achieving your dreams?
“Be teachable, grow, think and initiate”. Every day has a learning curve for growth when you have brilliant ideas or goal to achieve in life. Owned it and work for it. Being teachable is important to be always eager to learn new things from small to big minds. People that has no proper education but sharing their life experiences and people who are well educated and technically experts. We need to appreciate and respect them with humility and respect.
